Os usuários de Rock Band 2 no Xbox 360 hoje tiveram uma surpresa. Depois de um update obrigatório, foi aberta a opção dentro da loja para a Rock Band Network, a loja de música para as bandas independentes.

Ainda não tivemos a oportunidade de testar nenhuma das músicas, mas notamos que o preço médio é mais caro do que esperávamos. Como são músicas que não foram feitas pela Harmonix, surpreende negativamente que muitas músicas estejam sendo vendidas por 160 MS Points. Os usuários de PS3 deverão esperar, já que a RBN é exclusiva do Xbox 360. De acordo com a Harmonix, posteriormente uma seleção das melhores (e mais vendidas) músicas da RBN será disponibilizada para o PS3.

Já estão disponíveis mais de 100 músicas de vários estilos (punk, progressivo, rap, metal, indie, etc.), de artístas como The Shins, The Hold Steady e KMDFM.
